Wahine Style is our core project. It was created with the goal of being an outlet for my (Kawika Woodhams') photography. The project consists primarily of the website, www.WahineStyle.com, and our calendar, Girls of Wahine Style. There are various other side projects that we market a bit from this site as well, but the main information I want to provide here, while relating to all the projects, is focused for Wahine Style.

We are looking to work with local Hawaii girls for our Wahine Style project. Quite a bit of what gets promoted here in Hawaii as Hawaii girls, really is not a good representation of the girls that actually grow up, go to school, live, and work here in Hawaii. Our goal is to bring out more of the natural beauty that exists all around us. For those of us fortunate enough to live here in Hawaii, it's beauty that we get to see everyday.

For the local girls that are wanting to get involved with us and become part of that representation of the beauty of Hawaii girls, I want to let you know a bit more of what we are looking for, the types of images that we shoot, and the requirements of working with us.

Wahine Style is focused on being a positive influence, both in the images that we create, as well as the actions of those we work with. Do keep in mind that as your images become more known, you, as a prospective model, become a reflection on more than just yourself. You now become a reflection on Wahine Style, as well as any other photographers or companies that you end up working with.

We are well aware that we are located on a small island in the middle of the ocean. It's not exactly a modeling mecca, so we created our own opportunities, and continue to work on new ideas.
